One Thousand Gifts :: Manna

Yet he gave a command to the skies above and opened the doors of the heavens;

he rained down manna for the people to eat, he gave them the grain of heaven.

Men ate the bread of angels; he sent them all the food they could eat. – Psalm 78:23-25

207. God rained down a dusting of snow that seemed to me to be as near a likeness to the manna that once fell as I’ll ever see. I wonder what it looked like…

208. the daily-ness of God’s provision
209. never having to experience the pains of hunger or thirst
210. because of the Bread of Life

Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. – John 6:35

211. husband working long and hard to provide
212. yet he still takes time to work on household projects
213. and baking cookies for daughter’s Valentine’s Party later this week

214. quiet weekend to work and play at home
215. tweaking my blog {I have too much fun doing that}
216. discovering many, many new blogs from wonderful women

217. sleeping bag next to my bed wrapped around a little girl with fears
218. the lovingkindness of my God who will give us wisdom to help her
219. fighter verses

When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. – Psalm 56:3-4
