The discipline of gratitude is the explicit effort to acknowledge that all I am and have is given to me as a gift of love, a gift to be celebrated with joy. – Henri J.M. Nouwen
Perhaps it’s because spring comes so much later to our northern state, or perhaps because flowers bring me such joy, but I was completely smitten this week with a walk around our yard to delight in its sights and smells
278. rhododendrons in full bloom
279. crab apple flowers
280. I couldn’t get enough of them
281. so sweetly bursting forth against a blue sky
282. I couldn’t get enough of her either
283. I will never tire of sunsets
284. especially when my man comes with me to a nearby hill to capture the beauty of this one
285. the clouds above never turned colors as we’d hoped, but we still enjoyed a wonderful time alone while waiting
286. a promising job interview for my man
287. dreaming about a future that might be
288. resting in the sovereignty of God
289. sharing ice cream with little girl and watching her perform her newest trick on the school’s playground equipment
290. son performing at state competition with the middle school band
291. an evening walk {the four of us and the pup}
292. walking hand-in-hand with my man
293. daughter using my childhood desk {after being fetched from grandma’s}
294. sponsoring a World Vision Child
295. daughter choosing this precious little girl, who shares her birthday, from the Democratic Republic of Congo
296. God’s provision to allow us this great blessing
297. World Vision bloggers traveling to the Dominican Republic this week
298. smell of a spring rain
299. vibrant colors that come after a spring rain
In hope,
Shelli
