One Thousand Gifts: A Year of Gratitude Living

The art of thanksgiving is thanksliving… It is thanking God for the gift of life by living it triumphantly. – Wilfred A. Peterson

It is one year since I began this journey of counting the gifts, the daily graces from the Giver of all good things. One year of seeing life through the eyes of gratitude.

I’ve grown eyes that see beauty in the mundane, hope in dark times, adventure in the unknown. Taking nothing for granted. Being delighted by the abundance of His love.

Gratitude counting has turned into gratitude living.

O Lord, may it never end.

545. filling the empty space on our family picture wall with a portrait of my kids
546. their beautiful smiles
547. being a mom
548. being their mom

549. grocery cart wheelies to overcome a rickety a wheel
550. filling shoeboxes for Samaritan’s Purse

551. no work emergencies while the boss was out of town

552. mom sharing God-stories
553. seeing her gratitude for His love

554. mom’s handiwork for my daughter

555. daughter’s bedroom redecorated for her birthday
556. little girl maturing
557. not too fast, though!

In this month of thanksgiving, won’t you consider beginning a life of thanksliving. Just simply start counting: 1, 2, 3.

In hope,
Shelli
