Full of Praise

My daily Bible reading has me in 2 Samuel, 1 Chronicles and the Psalms. Over and over again, the writers tell of the amazing things that God has done, the blessings He has given. And the telling is always accompanied by praise.

I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul makes its boast in the LORD; let the humble hear and be glad. Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together! – Psalm 34:1-3

The closer I get to counting the one thousandth gift, the more I realize how incredibly blessed I am. He has done amazing things for me and in me. This simple act of counting has caused my heart change; it has made me a grateful woman. And I can hardly give God thanks without giving Him much praise.

Those whose hearts are full of gratitude are most full of praise. – Caroline Brownlow
