Five Minute Friday: If You Met Me…

Today I’m joining in for my first Five Minute Friday hosted by The Gypsy Mama. The rules? “Write for 5 minutes flat for pure unedited love of the written word.” No editing. No second-guessing.

Today’s prompt: If you met me…

(I’ve already started once and had to stop. I’m not sure I can do this!)

Here I go again…

If you met me you’d discover how terribly shy I am. But then, if you were patient enough to draw “me” out, you’d probably never get me to stop talking. I’m the shy chatterbox. A conundrum, I know.

Once I started talking, you’d quickly notice my hands flying all over the place. Please don’t worry; I’ve never hit anyone with them, that I recall. I just can’t seem to talk without using my hands.

If watching my hands didn’t make you dizzy, you might notice a mole on my neck and mistake it for a bug, as many a child has. It’s been there since I was a infant. And it’s never bitten me once!

As we talked I’d want to hear about your family and your interests, the books you like to read. And of course, I’d tell you about mine. You wouldn’t hear me mention my blog, unless I knew you blogged, too.

Well, not much for my first attempt. I got stuck. And cheated. A little.
