A few days ago a storm blew in. Though the lights flickered a few times, we never lost power and there was no severe damage.
Soon the sun appeared and we searched for a rainbow. Our efforts were in vain.
But lo, the sky gave us the most unusual sight I’ve ever seen. The clouds appeared like giant gumdrops suspended in the sky.
A quick google search told us they are called cumulus mammatus clouds.
And just when we had gotten our fill of this magnificent sight, the world turned purple. Really. For a few short moments this incredible sky gave everything a purple glow.
It was truly a delight.
No fancy photography here, no new skill to share. Just a camera close at hand and ready to grab at a moment’s notice.
Perhaps that is the lesson.
You can’t make a photo if your camera is not ready to take a photo.

Thanks Kelly. I always enjoy a post-storm rainbow because it reminds me of God’s promises. But that night it seemed as if God had something to share with us. His glory was magnificently on display and we knew it.
