Poppy Happy

If popped poppies could bop to a beat,

to what beat would popped poppies bop?

To me, poppies are such happy flowers. They are so bold with their reddish orange color. And with petals that look like crepe paper, they seem made for a party.

Unlike the delicate rose that gradually unfurls its petals, the poppy pops open overnight. I have enjoyed waking to new popped poppies each morning this week.

And I’ve smiled every time.
